How do I manage anxiety?

Can you relate to Nathan's questions about how to manage anxiety?

Anxiety is a feeling of unease, such as worry or fear, that can range from mild to severe, and everyone experiences it at some point in their lives.

For instance, you might feel anxious before an exam, medical test, or job interview, which is normal.

However, some individuals struggle to manage their worries as their anxiety is persistent and impacts their daily routines.

Anxiety is a key symptom of various conditions, including panic disorder, phobias like agoraphobia or claustrophobia, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and social anxiety disorder (social phobia).

Here is my answer to Nathan's question.

Hey Nathan, thank you for your question today. Overthinking is very common and can be linked to feelings of self- doubt, guilt or shame.

Overthinking can spiral, as we sit and contemplate the worst part of every situation and thought that we manifest. We can really go to that dark place.

Always remember a thought is just a thought, it is neither true or false, it is usually the ideas we attach to that thought that causes the distress.

Our mind is a powerful tool and can latch on to overthinking as a coping mechanism and ultimately a go to when we feel anxious or uncertain.

Therapy is a good option for you because behind every over thinker there be will be its origin and this is where we would start our journey.

Best wishes, Justine
