A few thoughts for Mental Health Week 2023
Don’t be your thoughts be the watcher of your thoughts. Don’t run away with your thoughts like a runaway train, be the oak tree that stands tall and still as the train races by. As you sit quietly, you hear the whispers of your thoughts desperate to entangle you.
You can run, flow into these thoughts or you can choose to fly above them, watching silently from a safe distance until they pass. Your mind belongs in your brain and your brain is a part of your body, like your heart, they both speak to you in powerful ways, but one is not more knowledgeable than the other. As the trickle of a stream becomes a powerful fast, flowing river, so your thoughts that start small, can consume you as quickly as the river flows.
Let the thoughts flow, don’t try and stop them, just let them flow.
